Welcome to Mrs. Ashton's 3rd Grade Class at Wasatch Peak Academy
I'm excited to have you visit our class website!
Meet Mrs. Ashton
Robin Ashton loves teaching! Every day she awakens excited for the challenges and wonderful moments ahead. Coming to us from another school district, Robin is excited with this new adventure of teaching at Wasatch Peak Academy. She is very impressed with every teacher and staff member. She loves the Spanish and service learning emphasis.
Robin grew up in California, was a foreign exchange student to India, loved athletics, and learned to play the piano. Her choice of college was BYU where she met her wonderful husband and has lived in Salt lake ever since. Her bachelor’s degree from BYU was in English. She intended to be an English teacher after raising her seven children, but decided her heart was with young children. When her youngest child was in 5th grade, she started substitute teaching. She loved it so much that she realized she must get her teaching certificate. She was accepted into the Master of Arts in Teaching program at Westminster College. There she enjoyed every minute of honing and developing her teaching skills.
Since obtaining her master’s degree, Robin loves to keep on learning. She has accumulated 65 additional course credits from USBE including receiving both an ESL and a Math endorsement.
Robin and her husband, Laird, live in the Millcreek area and enjoy the company of their 10 grandchildren. Her strength lies in her ability to care about and value every child and wants the best for each individual. She is a caring, helpful, happy teacher who is excited to be on the Wasatch Peak Academy team!
